Who We Are

About Our Services

English Experts is made by teachers, for students to excel in their ATAR English Exams. A simple goal, aimed to help year 11 and 12 students in the most important schooling exams taken.

Coming from a teaching perspective of year 11 and 12 ATAR English students, it was clear to see that some students lacked guidance with their writing. This can come from a number of factors, from a lack of confidence to a lack of understanding, and many more. Whatever the reason, all of these factors result in reduced performance during exam time.

It was this realisation that led us to creating this service, which would ideally provide another avenue for students to refine their writing skills outside of school.

Our Approach

For many students, simply responding to past practice exams as a form of practice is not enough We recognised this and created this service to allow students to get real feedback, from real ATAR essay markers, in exam-like conditions.

English Experts is dedicated to providing an experience that is as close to the real exam as possible. This is why we provide the questions, the timer, and give you a list of authorised items that are used in the exam. We then allow you to upload images of your completed exam, which ensures your physical work is marked by one of our team. You will then receive real feedback based on your response, without having to guess what your mark could have been.

What's more, we created this service to be as affordable as possible. After looking at the cost of study note websites, tutors and so-called ATAR gurus, we have competitively priced our service accordingly so that everyone can benefit - without breaking the bank.

With the feedback from experienced ATAR Exam Markers; students, and parents of students, will get the highest quality critique and an accurate grade for their practice essay. This will help shape their future academic writing experience and guide them towards a better result in their ATAR English Exams.

Sections of the ATAR English Practice Exam

The exam is comprised of 3 sections called Comprehending, Responding, and Composing.

The Comprehending section involves compulsory questions, while the Responding and Composing sections require students to choose and respond to a single question each.

Here is a short summary on what each section involves:

Comprehending: Involves answering short-answer questions about a text.

Responding: Requires writing an essay about a chosen text or texts.

Composing: Involves creating your own piece of writing, such as a narrative, persuasive, or interpretive text.

We understand that each student has their own strengths and weaknesses, so you will be able to choose what sections you would like practice. The chosen sections will have corresponding questions, reading and completion times - this allows you to write your response in a way that is close to your exam experience.

If you are unsure what section of the exam you need work in, we recommend opting for the full

ATAR English Practice Exam service. This will cover each section and give you more confidence when you approach your official exam. It is also the best value for money out of the 3 services provided.
